You’ve Got the Look!
Luminous jewel tones . . . sportswear fusion . . . modern design elements . . . vintage inspired. This is how the The Washington Post described the fall 2013 eyewear trends in a recent article, and from the runway to the hottest Hollywood icons, eyewear is front and center when it comes to fashion. You too can get the latest styles and the hottest looks at the Optical Shop at White Mountain Eye Care.
Opticians Joanna Preve and Kelly Laflamme understand the difference the right pair of frames c
an make, and finding the right mix of function and fashion that meets each individual patient’s needs is at the heart of their full-service, patient-centered approach.
“Understanding how patients use their glasses and where they will be wearing them is part of the discovery process to meet their vision care needs that best fits their lifestyle,” explains Joanna. Adds Kelly, “There are so many variables between patients, that getting to know what they need and expect from their eyewear is key. Sometimes it is the little things that make a difference, from minor repairs or adding nose pads for a better fit, to suggesting a different frame style.”
Joanna is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and began her career as lab technician manufacturing and repairing lenses. Progressing in her career, Joanna built upon her technical knowledge to better advise patients on the right mix of frames and lenses to maximize their visual acuity. Kelly also has a full-spectrum of experience and particularly enjoys opening up a new world of sight to those new to corrective lenses.
The Optical Shop at White Mountain Eye Care features HOYA lenses, which Joanna says offers the best lens technology available. Featuring more than 800 frames, they have styles for the whole family. Located on the first floor of Speare Memorial at Boulder Point, 103 Boulder Point Road off Tenney Mountain Highway in Plymouth, the Optical Shop is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., closed noon – 1 p.m. for lunch.
