Grab your apron and bring your appetite! Speare Memorial Hospital is teaming up with Ammonoosuc Community Health Services (ACHS) to host the Food as Medicine Portable Teaching Kitchen—a hands-on cooking experience that’s as fun as it is flavorful.
Mark your calendars for August 20 & 21, 2025, when the Weight Management & Wellness Center at Speare Memorial at 103 Boulder Point Drive transforms into a pop-up kitchen where community members can chop, stir, sauté, and taste their way to better health.

Session Times – You can choose breakfast or lunch, or both:
• 10:00 & 11:00 AM – Breakfast Entrée Sessions (Parfaits & Muffin Tin Omelets)
• 12:00 & 1:00 PM – Lunch Entrée Sessions (Broccoli Salad & Quinoa Salad)

Each session includes live demos, budget-friendly recipes, and easy-to-digest tips (pun intended!) to help you make healthier choices at home. You’ll leave with hands-on cooking experience, practical nutrition know-how, simple recipes, and maybe even a few new friends.

Why Join? Because learning to cook healthy meals shouldn’t be boring—or expensive. This kitchen-on-wheels brings cooking skills, grocery hacks, and nutrition guidance right to your neighborhood.

Whether you’re a kitchen newbie or a seasoned home chef, you’ll:
• Discover quick and tasty low-cost meals
• Learn how to stretch your food budget
• Explore nutrition tailored to real health needs
• Leave with confidence—and a full belly

This is a free community event—all are welcome! No medical referral needed, this event is open to everyone — individuals, families, caregivers, and curious foodies alike.

Call the Weight Management & Wellness Center at (603) 238-2199 for more details or to reserve your spot today. Spots are limited, so don’t wait.
