By Sharon Hillger, Clinical Leader in the Emergency Department

On October 20 The Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth held their annual fun draiser at which 3,141 people gathered to raise over $650,000 for the children and their families.

The Speare Emergency Department works closely with DHMC through transferring our sickest pediatric population  and by participating in yearly, up-to-date education they provide to our department. We decided to show our support by forming a team to run and walk for their facility.

Together our team raised $1,530!!  The team included….   Amelia Currier running the Half marathon. Sharon Hillger, Jeremy Hillger,  Eileen Clarke, John Joyce and Michelle Guilbeault running the 5 K. William Currier, Jamie Tuttle, Aemon Tuttle, Sue Tuttle, Jim Tuttle and Hillary Moore walking the 5 K.  Tammy Ross-Smith and Brenda Joyce hiked the 10 K.  Dr. Medlicott, Dr.Sochat and Lynn Kenma were signed up and ready to go, but unfortunately met scheduling conflicts just prior to the event not allowing them to join us physically. Many of our colleagues supported us through donations.
