Spring is finally here, and Speare Memorial Hospital has the perfect reason to get outside. The 11th Annual Speare Shuffle is happening on Saturday, May 16, 2026, and this beloved Plymouth tradition is open to runners, walkers, stroller-pushers, costume enthusiasts, and everyone in between.

What Is the Speare Shuffle?

The Speare Shuffle is Speare Memorial Hospital’s annual 5K fun run and walk, emphasis on the fun. This is not a race for elite athletes chasing personal bests. It’s a community event designed for all ages and all fitness levels, with one simple goal: get up, get out, and get moving together. If you want to wear your most outrageous outfit while doing it, even better. Costumes are enthusiastically encouraged.

Now in its 11th year, the Shuffle has become a fixture on the Plymouth, NH community calendar, a sign that the winter is behind us and warmer days are ahead.

9:00 am — Sign-in opens 10:00 am — Walk/Fun Run begins

Sign-in and the start/finish line are located at Speare Memorial Hospital’s offsite parking lot at 38 Langdon Street, at the corner of Langdon and Cummings Streets in Plymouth, NH. Parking is available in Speare’s Langdon lot and in Plymouth State University lots #104 and #105 across the street.

Registration is $15 per person, and children under 5 are free. Everyone who registers early gets a free race shirt — so sign up sooner rather than later.
