After five years at Dartmouth Health Children’s pursuing advanced training in child development and completing her doctoral degree in nursing, Wilma Hyde, DNP, APRN, CPNP, CWHNP, is returning to Plymouth Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine (PPAM) full-time in February. A familiar face to many, Wilma previously worked at PPAM for over 20 years, and her return marks an exciting new chapter for the practice and central New Hampshire families.

“I am thrilled to rejoin such a strong and dedicated team to provide comprehensive pediatric and adolescent primary care for our community,” says Wilma.

A department of Speare Memorial Hospital, PPAM is a highly respected provider of pediatric care in the region, offering a full range of services from birth until children reach adulthood.

While at Dartmouth, Wilma honed her expertise in caring for children with developmental and behavioral differences. Her specialized training enables her to address conditions such as AD/HD, autism, cerebral palsy, genetic mutations, and the effects of prematurity—all areas under the umbrella of “child development.”

In addition to her specialty care, Wilma will continue to provide the full range of primary, acute, and hospital care services that patients expect from PPAM. “Primary care is the most valuable service we can provide to patients,” says Wilma. “It’s about building a relationship with someone who knows you and understands your journey.”

The team at PPAM offers a unique and comprehensive level of care, including attending high-risk deliveries alongside obstetricians, seeing patients in the emergency department, and admitting young patients to the hospital when needed. Wilma’s return strengthens this exceptional model of pediatric care.

“I am excited to bring my specialty expertise back to my primary care home base,” says Wilma. “The Plymouth community has been my home for almost 30 years, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to provide care to the families here once again.”

Wilma’s extensive experience in pediatrics and her advanced training and leadership ensure that families in central New Hampshire will receive the highest quality of care. Her return reflects PPAM’s continued commitment to serving the community with expertise and compassion.
