Inpatient Rehabilitation Services at Speare Memorial Hospital

The inpatient physical therapy staff works with the inpatient team at the hospital to design an individualized treatment program to help patients reach their highest level of functional independence and maximize the return of function as quickly as possible. Physical therapists work with the inpatient team to ease the transition from Speare Memorial Hospital to other healthcare facilities or homes when ready for discharge.

Inpatient occupational therapists work with patients and their families to create individualized treatment plans to help them reach their highest level of independence. Patients receiving occupational therapy services may have treatments working on activities of daily living (e.g., bathing and dressing) and functional mobility.
