Places to go. Things to do.
“We can fix that” were four words Bob Keith of Moultonborough thought he would never hear. Over the last decade Bob’s quality of life had diminished due to growing discomfort from a surgical wound that would not heal. But then the Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center opened at Speare, and Dr. Koren gave Bob new hope for healing his old wound. Today Bob’s “dance card is full” with places to go and things to do.

wound care and hyperbaric medicineSpeare Memorial Hospital’s Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center, managed by Healogics™, provides specialized treatment for chronic or non-healing wounds, which are defined as sores or wounds that have not significantly improved from conventional treatments. Associated with inadequate circulation, poorly functioning veins, and immobility, non-healing wounds lead to lower quality of life and may lead to amputations. When wounds persist, a specialized approach is required for healing. Typically, a wound that does not respond to normal medical care within 30 days is considered a problem or chronic wound.
