“I will never stop fighting for you with every tool I’ve got in Congress,” said Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander when meeting with Speare Memorial Hospital senior leadership, board members, revenue cycle staff, NH State Rep Bill Bolton, and local business and town leaders recently.

The group discussed key issues impacting rural healthcare, including Medicare, Medicaid, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), and the anticipated effects of expiring Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies.

Goodlander posted online, “The extraordinary community healthcare providers and first responders I met today at Speare Memorial Hospital — our critical access hospital in Plymouth — are feeling the pain of the biggest cuts to healthcare in American history. They are being asked to do more with less and less every day, but they never lose sight of their mission: delivering life-changing and life-saving care to our fellow citizens across the beating heart of the 603.”
