The health and safety of patients and visitors at Speare Memorial Hospital is our top priority. While we understand how important the support of family and friends is to patients in the hospital, the new coronavirus requires us to temporarily adjust our visiting guidelines in order to protect those in the hospital from possible infection.
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
- One visitor permitted for each adult patient in the emergency department. Visitors are not permitted to take turns.
- Visitors and patients will be screened at the same time to access whether or not they pose a threat.
- Visitors must be 18+ years old.
- Family and siblings are permitted to visit patients on the birthing suite.
OTHER HOSPITAL UNITS
- Visitors must be 18+ years old.
BIRTHING SUITE
- Siblings under the age of 18 are allowed to visit the new baby.
- Visitors with fever, cough, or shortness of breath will be restricted from visiting.
Our visiting hours remain 10am to 8pm.
Thank you for your understanding and for adhering to these guidelines to help us keep our patients, families, and visitors protected and healthy during this time.
