Speare Memorial Hospital is committed to ensuring that our community achieves optimal health. This takes the efforts of many organizations working together toward a common vision.

The Speare Community Health Grant program provides funding to organizations with activities and initiatives that address important community health needs. Grants are awarded to groups that significantly improve the health of the citizens in our region

Speare’s service area includes the towns of Alexandria, Ashland, Bridgewater, Bristol, Campton, Ellsworth, Groton, Hebron, Holderness, Lincoln, Plymouth, Rumney, Thornton, Warren, Waterville Valley, Wentworth, and Woodstock.

Grant requests must be for a minimum of $2,000. No applicant is assured of grant funding for any given year or from one year to the next.

Eligible organizations must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and serve a region that aligns closely with Speare’s service area. The funding period is from October 1st to September 30th.

All grant requests will be approved and allocated solely at the discretion of the SMH Community Health Grant Committee. Speare Memorial Hospital reserves the right to accept or reject any request for support.
