National Nurses Week 2017: The Balance of Mine, Body, and Spirit

Nurses week 2017Every year, National Nurses Week focuses attention on the diverse ways America’s 3.1 million nurses work to save lives and to improve the health of millions of individuals. The American Nursing Association has designated 2017 as the “Year of the Healthy Nurse.”

Join us during National Nurses Week, May 6–12, as we celebrate our nurses who lead the charge for health and wellness every day at Speare Memorial Hospital.

Health Care from the Heart All Day, Every Day

This year National Hospital Week runs from May 8 – 14 to celebrate the men and women who support the health of their communities through dedication and compassionate care.

We at Speare Memorial Hospital are invested in caring and providing health care from the heart all day, every day. We recognize and appreciate the dedication of our physicians, nurses, therapists, engineers, food service workers, volunteers, administrators and so many more who work at Speare to make it great 365 days a year.

Join us in thanking the many Speare employees who give their all and are committed to supporting the health and well-being of our community members in and around central New Hampshire.

Celebrating the Nurses at Speare Memorial Hospital

Speare Memorial Hospital joins the nation this National Nurses Week to celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of our nurses. The theme for the 2016 National Nurses week is Culture of Safety: It Starts With YOU. Nursing is a very technical field, from new treatments and medical technologies to new protocols and procedures, nurses are always learning new things. We trust nurses to stay calm during chaos and to make split-second decisions that help save lives. On behalf of all those you have touched with your knowledge, compassion and caring, thank you for everything that you do.
